Our Executive Chairman Ted Lowe scooped the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award at the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber Awards 2019
Ted has spent over 50 years in the electrical engineering industry with over 40 of those at a senior management level. Having spent 35 years working with large multi-disciplined organisations, in 1994 he established the Lowe Group of Companies based in Rotherham which grew over a period of 14 years to employ 230 local people with a turnover of approximately £20m.
A valuable mentor to hundreds of young apprentices and managers that have worked for him over the years becoming successful business owners themselves.
Ted is generous with his time, experience and patience and strives to give back to the industry that made him.
Upon winning this prestigious award Ted said;
“It was 50 years since I moved to South Yorkshire, and 25 years since I moved my operation to Rotherham. Over all those years I enjoyed the support and friendship of some of the finest people in South Yorkshire. For that I will be always grateful.
The award presented to me by the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce was not just for me but for all the people who have supported me over the years and on their behalf I thank you.”
